Adi Para Shakti, known as the Goddess Devi, is revered as the Supreme Being. She is commonly recognized by various titles such as "Adi Shakti", "Parama Shakti", "Maha Shakti", "Mahadevi", or simply as "Shakti". In Shakta doctrine, the term "Parama" signifies the absolute, and "Satya" represents the Truth as described in several Shakta scriptures. According to the Devi Bhagavata Mahapurana, Adi Parashakti is acknowledged as the primary creator, sustainer, and destroyer of the entire universe.

Shaktism explains that Adi Parashakti manifested as Divine Pure Eternal Consciousness, known as Shoonya Bindu, the divine zero feminine energy, which evolves into Prakriti (Universal Nature). Therefore, Adi Parashakti is considered Parama Prakriti.
